Established in 2008 by Helen Jones, Pelican is a team of qualified business professionals who specialise in different service areas and have extensive experience in marketing, customer and business research, PR, sales management, office management, PA roles and translation.

|Helen Jones, Founder|
Helen Jones specialises in customer/business research and project management, with over 15 years of experience in different industry sectors.
Her background is in business market research, working as a market analyst for large research companies such as Dataquest and Gartner, for 8 years. She also has expertise in small businesses, working for a small market research consultancy MZA for 5 years, and later as a Director of a small property development company.
Helen also has experience in human resources, recruitment and training.
Her breadth of experience and skills ensures she can add value at all levels within a business enterprise. Helen has an Honours degree in Business Studies and German, the CIM Diploma in Marketing and the CIPD Diploma in Personnel Management.
|Susan Moore, Associate|
Susan Moore specialises in providing PR and marketing support to business owners and freelancers and enjoys researching new business opportunities.
Until she became a VA in 2006, she worked at board level for leading financial institutions in London and Sydney including Credit Suisse and UBS Asset Management providing support to the UK's leading financial investors. In these roles, she liaised with clients and press, undertook research projects and managed a support team. She then moved to an airline and was responsible for PR and marketing support and organising international events.
Susan has an Honours degree in Social and Political Science and is the winner of the 2008 National VA of the Year Award.
|Emma Crabtree, Associate|
Emma Crabtree has supported individuals and SMEs in Portugal and further afield with day-to-day virtual administration services since 2005. Her specialism is in logistics and organising travel arrangements and she has expertise in email management, social networking and blog management, transcriptions, internet research and website maintenance. English is her first language and she is confident working in Portuguese.
Her experience has been garnered mainly in not-for-profit organisations, including VSO and the Design Council, and small, private enterprises. Roles have included office management, PA to directors and partners, team co-ordinator and administrator.
|Nick Jones, Associate|
Nick Jones specialises in business and sales planning and implementation, with experience gained over 20 years as a sales and marketing professional in the international telecommunications and IT sectors.
With GEC Telecoms and British Telecom Nick held roles in major client management and distribution as well as having responsibility for building and managing sale teams and marketing and customer service operations.
He also has experience in the SME sector as a Director of a property development company in the UK and of a hospitality business in Portugal. He undertakes
small business consultancy on a regular basis.
Together with his strong interpersonal skills and a high level of creativity his experience ensures Nick can add value to all businesses.
